A social entrepreneur, pioneer and evangelist of sustainable development Vineet has been a vanguard of the clean energy transition in emerging economies across Asia and Africa. His passion for sustainability originates from the ancient Indian Vedic philosophy of ‘Mata bhoomi putro aham prithiwaya” – The Earth is to be protected like a mother and nurtured for future generations. Avaada is a culmination of his vision of conducting business for higher purpose. Vineet’s socially beneficial public policy campaigns like Community Development Certificate (CDC) and Grow Forest Mechanism (GFM) are very well-received. In line with SDGs he has launched humanitarian programs aimed towards women empowerment, quality education, healthcare and environment protection in rural environs.

An alumnus of Harvard Business School, Vineet has successfully executed over 2GW of renewable energy projects and is implementing 5GW projects. Avaada has played a major role in helping shape renewable energy policies for emerging economies. He is on B20’s taskforce for financing growth and infrastructure and Energy, Resource Efficiency & Sustainability. He is the former India Chair of World Business Council of Sustainable Development (WBCSD)’s program on Renewables Low Carbon Technology platform. Vineet has been twice recognized as the ‘Solar Man of the Year’ in 2014 and 2012 for his significant contribution towards the solar industry.

Sindoor is looked upon as an industry leader and is a Keynote speaker at multiple forums In the Renewable energy sector.

Sindoor Mittal is the Vice Chairperson of Avaada Group, India’s largest clean energy company. An alumnus of Stanford Graduate School & ISB- Hyderabad, Sindoor has led the organization to become a key player in India’s renewable energy space.
Sindoor started her career with a $500 million private equity fund. Her urge to become an entrepreneur soon found its way into her quitting the job and starting her first business at the age of 24. She spearheaded Equity fundraising by bringing marquee investors like ADB, DEG, FMO & Proparco to India through Avaada. She successfully handled the transaction of the organization’s ~1140 MW renewable portfolio to Tata Power. For her achievements in the area of entrepreneurship, Sindoor has been conferred with “AsiaOne Young Asian Entrepreneurs 2019-20” & “Women Leader of the Year- 2018” award.
Sindoor is looked upon as an industry leader and is a Keynote speaker in leading forums. She has been a Speaker at events like RE-INVEST, Economic Times’ Global Business Summit, IFC’s Climate Business Forum. At the ‘Madhya Pradesh Investor Summit’ she shared the dias with the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She is an active participant at the World Economic Forum, Davos.
Today she relentlessly pursues her belief that India can accelerate its growth through encouraging greater economic participation by women. Sindoor is keenly involved in the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility endeavor, which focuses on providing girl education, clean environment and health to the communities in which they work.

T.R. Kishor Nair

Chief Operating Officer

Kishor is a dynamic personality known to lead his team and the organisation from the frontlines. An electrical engineer from Kerala University, he is strongly grounded in different aspects of the energy business – project management, strategic business planning and business development.
 
As the Chief Operating Officer at AVAADA, he is responsible for business strategy, business development, EPC & project management. During the last 9 years, he was responsible for developing ~2000 MW of renewable energy projects. With over 36 years of experience, he has global exposure in planning, monitoring and executing projects with leading companies such as NTPC, Bechtel and Reliance Power.
 
Kishor is a prolific speaker in the field of renewable energy.
