By carrying on with the journey towards a sustainable world, Avaada has already emerged as the most reliable partner for leading corporations, IT firms, MNCs, and manufacturing units. Today, we are the leading provider of solar energy in India and yearn to meet our customers' specific energy requirements with credible energy solutions, including third-party sales through open access arrangements, rooftop, and hybrid energy.
With over ~800 MW of open access solar portfolio in India, we are working with some leading MNCs who have committed to switching to 100% renewables. Corporates with more than 1 MW load capacity can save up to 30-50% of electricity costs by switching to open-access solar solutions.
Open Access enables corporations and industries with more than 1 MW loads to directly buy power from the market. The rights associated with Open Access Solar Power are governed by the Electricity Act 2003 to regulate competition in the market. It can be categorized based on the location of the purchasing and selling parties.
In the captive Capex model, the Corporate / Industry buyer for a utility-scale solar project makes the upfront capital investment. The buyer owns the power-generating asset, and the solar power generated is used for the corporate buyer's self-consumption. Avaada Energy constructs the plant and also operates and maintains it over its lifetime.
At Avaada, we can meet all your business’ electricity needs by supplying you with solar power from our off-site private solar farms across India. Open access power tariffs are much cheaper than grid tariffs. For industrial and commercial consumers, open-access power translates into regular electricity supply at a lower cost, while also helping reduce their carbon footprint.
In Inter-State Open Access, the purchasing and selling parties belong to different states. In such cases, the transaction is governed by regulations and guidelines of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) directives. CERC
For Intra-State Open Access, the purchasing and selling parties belong to the same state. The transaction in the Intra-state case is governed by regulations and guidelines issued by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC). The duration of the contract, as specified by SERCs, is short-term, medium-term, and long term.
